About The American Academy
The American Academy partners with school districts across the country to give dropouts and other at-risk students the flexibility, accountability and support they need to get to graduation day. From Washington to Florida and in dozens of districts in between, our programs are helping dropouts re-enroll and succeed in school with the help of licensed teachers, on-the-ground student advocates, 24-7 tutors and state-aligned online curriculum.
You may find other organizations with similar sounding names — "The American Academy" is a name that is used widely for many different entities, in and out of the education sector. We'll leave it to you to determine the credibility of others, but here are the facts about us:
- Established in 2007 and based in Salt Lake City, we are accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission, one of six regional organizations responsible for the accreditation of most public schools in the United States.
- We are a recognized partner of the America’s Promise Alliance and are frequent presenters at dropout prevention and recovery conferences across the nation.
- In addition to our work with dropouts and other at-risk students, we oversee a private online high school with more than 400 students in all 50 states and and eight countries.
- We also sponsor NoDropouts.org, a blog dedicated to sharing ideas, inspirations and experiences of those engaged in the fight to end America’s dropout epidemic.
- You can learn more about our programs and services at NoDropouts.com, NoDropouts.org, and TheAmericanAcademy.com. We are not affiliated with any other website, education entity or organization.
We encourage you to be duly diligent, because we want you to be satisfied that you know who we are, what we do and why we do it. To that end, we always welcome your questions. For more information, call us at 866-689-1932 or e-mail us at info@theamericanacademy.com
